Shindig 2014 Photo Show Winners

In Ajo, Arizona a Shindig is a celebration or Fiesta. March is the Spring and a time to celebrate the Sonoran Desert's most colorful time of year. Our Shindig's purpose is to capture the mood of the flowers' blooms and the birds' migrations and put them on display for a day here in the desert's heart. As a part of Shindig we show what our part of the World looks like by displaying photographs that capture the Sonoran Desert's beauty and magic. Visitors to the photo show may vote for their favorite pictures in several categories and of course pick a "Best of Show." The Shindig is held in the town's plaza with help from the Ajo Chamber of Comerce, the International Sonoran Desert Alliance and numerous land management agencies, including the Cabeza Prieta NWR, Organ Pipe Cactus NM, the Barry M Goldwater Range, among others. These are the publics' choices:
